Junge Wölfe

One of the first books I designed when I took over Steidl’s non-fiction program was the German edition of “Young Skins”, a collection of short stories by Colin Barrett. Having tried using contemporary photography in the early cover design stages, I ultimately decided to create a rough, monochrome illustration which references a crucial scene in one of the stories. The drawing was foil-embossed on a thin and flexible clothbound hardcover.
